It asks GPT-3’s
text-davinci-002
model for a fairy tale, then makes another request for a title. Stable Diffusion supplies the cover and page illustrations, and Azure Cognitive Services handles the neural text-to-speech.

The book interface splits the story into short pages and uses a page-flipping component to put text and illustrations side by side. There are options for the illustration style, reading voice and speed, and automatic page turning. The image requests are queued so the book does not try to generate every picture at once.

This is a hackathon prototype, not a finished replacement for reading together. Mostly I wanted to see what happened when those three pieces were put in the same little storybook.
