I made a mole-themed Monopoly game. Not just the animal kind of mole, either: answering chemistry questions is how you earn the chance to roll the dice.
The Java applet keeps track of the board squares, players, money, ownership, and questions as separate objects. There are buttons for rolling, buying property, and choosing an answer. Get the question right and the turn can continue; get it wrong and somebody else gets a chance.
The properties have names like Avogadro Boulevard and Chemistry Court, and the usual jail has become a cage. It is a fairly silly way to mix a board game with chemistry review, but it gave me a reason to work with a lot of state at once. There is considerably more bookkeeping in buying pretend streets than in making a ball bounce around a screen.
